Autumn has well and truly hit and I’m so here for it.
Since early September there’s been a trickle of dairy free Christmas products hitting the supermarket shelves. We’re now well into November and everything is ramping up. The supermarkets are in full Christmas mode with lots of new dairy free launches popping up daily.
So I thought it would be good to take a closer look at what dairy free options are available at each of the supermarkets and today we’re starting with Sainsbury’s.
Disclaimer: Please always check ingredients lists and may contain warnings to ensure products are suitable for your intolerance or allergy. Some products may be free from dairy but could still be made on the same factory line as other dairy free products.
I’ve listed the current prices for each product and not the Nectar price. Lots of products were cheaper with a Nectar card so do click through to take a look and see what’s on offer.
Let’s get into the list of dairy free Christmas products available at Sainsbury’s:
Sainsbury’s Sticky Toffee Pudding Tarts, Taste the Difference – £3.25 – These sound lovely. They’re free from gluten and milk pastry cases filled with date sponge, caramel sauce and pecan nuts.
Nomo Choc Fudge Reindeer – 90p – I’ve tried one of these already and boy are they good. It’s a cute little reindeer filled with chocolate fudge. It’s a very rich and decadent dairy free chocolate.
Pret Vegan Croissants – £3.40 – For ages these were only stocked in Tesco so it’s good to see them in Sainsbury’s. I like having a bag of these in the freezer over Christmas for an easy last minute brunch idea.
Sainsbury’s Plant Pioneers Festive Chestnut Roast – £4.00 – This is a roast made with chestnuts and mixed vegetables with a vegan gravy. It’s always good to have something easy and allergy or vegan friendly ready to go over the festive season.
