Hello dairy free friends. I hope you’re well and having a good week.
I wanted to pop a quick post on here to let you know that the good folk at innocent have come out with 3 dairy free milk alternatives. I spotted them in the Sheffield branch of Waitrose last week.
There’s almond, oat and hazelnut. I tried a little sample of the oat dairy alternative in store and it was lovely but quite naturally sweet. I’ll be grabbing a bottle of this soon to fully test out. I think it would be fab in coffee.
I picked up a bottle of the hazelnut dairy alternative to take home with me and it’s nearly finished. I LOVE it. It’s perfect in coffee but I think it would also work really well when baking sweet treats or hot chocolate. I simply heat the milk in my aeroccino and then add it into my coffee.
I’m really into hazelnut milk in my coffee at the moment, this one stood out because all it contains is roasted hazelnuts, spring water, rice and a touch of sea slat. The other 2 ‘milks‘ have just 3 ingredients each. No extra additives or stabilisers.
I’ll be writing a full review of each of the dairy alternatives in the next week. I just wanted to pop on here and let you know that they should be able to find them in Waitrose and Ocado at the mo. They’ll then be rolling out to Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA and Morrisons.
Leave a comment below and let me know if you’ve tried them.
