We popped into Itsu in Cambridge to grab some sushi yesterday and we left with a Happy Ending. The Itsu Happy Ending is a gluten and dairy free brownie. I’m always full after sushi but I couldn’t resist taking one away to try out at home and share my thoughts with you.
It’s nice to find a brownie which is both free from gluten and dairy. I would never have expected it to be in Itsu though. When I’m visiting Cambridge or London I often pop into Itsu, they have a lot of dairy free options available.
The brownie is protected in a little plastic sleeve inside the cardboard box. This is handy for when you’re taking it away to enjoy later in the day.
The brownie was surprisingly delicious. It was soft and gooey in the middle with an occasional crunch from the cocoa nibs on top. It’s perfect for sharing with a friend over a cup of tea.
If you’re in the mood for something sweet this brownie is well worth a try. Although Itsu isn’t somewhere I’d usually go to buy a brownie or dessert I’ll definitely be keeping it in mind for future visits.
