Time to drink more water

I’m determined to get back into good routines for the week ahead. This includes getting to the gym, drinking more water and getting enough sleep. I’ve been lacking in each of these things over the last few weeks and I really hope I can turn it around. I notice such a difference when I feel organised and have firm routines in my life.

At the end of next week P and I are going down to Cambridge for a few days. I’m hoping to get out running in the countryside while I’m there. It’s much more enjoyable than running through the city. I’ve also started to do a few Fitness Blender videos on the days that I don’t make it to the gym. They’re a really easy way to get a bit of exercise done at home.

Manuka honey for colds

lemon honey ginger and hot water

One of the things I plan on doing to drink more water is to start each day with a cup of hot water, lemon, ginger and honey. I won’t use honey every day but as I feel like I’ve got a cold fighting against me I’ll be doing that this week. Luckily, I have some Manuka honey to hand so I’ll use a teaspoon of that, a few slices of ginger and lemon. It’s a refreshing drink and a good way to kick-start your water intake for the day. I’ll also be carrying my water bobble around with me to ensure I’m drinking water regularly throughout the day.

Follow me over on Twitter to see how I get on with these little goals. Also, I’d love to know what you do to incorporate more water into your daily diet.
