Above you can see a video I shared over on TikTok the other day. I show you all the dairy free things I picked up in Waitrose that day.
Levantine Table Spicy Batata Harra Potatoes
These potatoes were delicious for a quick and easy side dish. They’re basically little chunks of potatoes with onions, peppers, spices and chillies. They had a really good flavour to them although I’d have preferred more chillis. I put mine in the oven but they can also go in the microwave if you’re short on time.
I’ll buy these again.
I’m a big fan of Ueshima coffee and often buy their bags of beans. We’ve been quite busy over the last couple of months and have been using our Nespresso machine a lot more so I like to be stocked up on pods.
I found that the Tokyo Roast capsules had a lovely smooth and creamy taste. It’s a strength 3 coffee and although I’d usually go for something stronger I found this ideal for what I need at the moment.
I reviewed the whole Ueshima range over on my lifestyle blog a while back.
Ahh Fentimans Ginger Beer. It’s a favourite in our house but not something we buy on a regular basis. We particularly like this one because it’s not overly sweet like some of the other brands and it has a really good ginger zing to it.
Duchy Organic Smooth Peanut Butter
This was really nice. I normally go for a chunky peanut butter but really fancied smooth this time and this one didn’t dissapoint.
It’s made with 99% peanuts and a little sea salt. There are no added oils which is a bonus for a supermarket brand of peanut butter.
I find that you have to give this a good stir before using it but that’s the same with most peanut butters unless they have a lot of added extras.
Cook’s Ingredients Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash
This is a pretty simple product. If I’m short on time I find it good to grab some pre-chopped veg like this to chuck in the oven and use with salads or soups.
Emily Veg Crisps Sweet Potato Sticks with Sea Salt
I was so excited to try these but they turned out to be very disappointing. They were very hard and dry with little flavour.
I won’t buy these again.
Waitrose Chickpea, Spinach & Quinoa
I love these types of grain sachets. They’re perfect for an addition to a quick and easy meal.
This is a combo of chickpeas and green lentils with black quinoa, roasted onions and spinach in a mint dressing. The flavours work really well together and we’ll continue to buy these regularly.
Levantine Table Freekeh, Black Rice & Chickpeas
This is another grain sachet we love. It’s a mix of freekeh, pearl barley, black rice with chickpeas, spinach and cranberries in a sumac dressing. The flavour is lovely and I enjoyed having it with salmon and in a salad.
Another straightforward product. We buy them regularly and our toddler my toddler really enjoys them…for now.
We used to buy Oatly regularly before their whole taking a small local biz to court. Now we’ll buy Glebe Farm oat milk but do buy Oatly on the odd occasion when we haven’t been able to stock up.
It’s a good oat milk, just a shame about their business ethics.
Essential Oat Unsweetened Chilled Drink
We haven’t used the Waitrose own oat milk for ages. I’m sure we used to buy it a few years back but I can’t remember. Anyway, it was pretty good, tasted creamy, worked well in coffee and frothed up well.
BEAR Peach & Banana Smoothie Yoyo’s
These were for my toddler and he’s a big fan!
